Still Spirits Top Shelf Herbal Liqueur Essence offers a unique opportunity to create a German-style herbal liqueur at home. This essence is known for its rich, reddish-brown color and a robust herbal flavor profile, which includes a complex blend of 27 different herbs and spices. It is typically enjoyed extremely cold, delivering a distinctly smooth yet potent experience that’s reminiscent of traditional herbal liqueurs made by monks in the Middle Ages.
To prepare your own batch, you simply need to mix this essence with 950ml of 40% ABV alcohol and either Still Spirits Liqueur Base “A” or a combination of sugar and liquid glucose, before topping up to 1.125L with water. This essence does not contain alcohol or sugars, making it a versatile addition for crafting personalized beverages whether you’re experimenting with cocktail recipes or savoring it neat.
